The fund's investment adviser, employing the Davis Investment Discipline, primarily allocates its portfolio to common equity securities issued by companies based in both the United States and other nations, spanning both developed and emerging markets. A substantial portion of these investments will target entities that are either legally domiciled or physically located outside the U.S., whose principal trading venue is international, or that generate a significant amount of their business beyond U.S. borders. The adviser defines "significant amount" as a company deriving at least half of its revenue or possessing at least half of its assets from outside the United States.
