what’s the difference between a technical recession and recession?

technical recession is strictly GDP declining for 2 or more quarters in a row, while real recession includes unemployment rates, falling income / sales and takes a bit longer to be defined

Recession is usually a sign of lack of hiring. Employers will try and hold o. for the next couple months but the layoffs are gone get worse next quarter.
