Headquartered in Reutlingen, Germany, Manz AG is a company established in 1987 that specializes in the development and global distribution of advanced high-tech production equipment. The firm operates across numerous international markets, including Germany, the United States, Taiwan, the wider European region, and China. Manz AG structures its operations into five primary business units: Solar, Electronics, Energy Storage, Contract Manufacturing, and Service. The Solar division provides integrated technological solutions for the production of thin-film solar modules and advanced CIGS thin-film systems. The Electronics segment focuses on designing and supplying systems for the manufacturing, assembly, and precise handling of diverse items. This includes flat screen displays, touch sensors, printed circuit boards (PCBs), chip carriers, and a variety of consumer electronics such as smartphones, tablet computers, laptops, and wearables. Additionally, it delivers automated assembly solutions specifically for the automotive sector. Through its Energy Storage segment, Manz AG offers equipment for the fabrication, integration, and processing of lithium-ion battery cells, modules, and complete systems. This also covers capacitors utilized in consumer electronics, power electronics, and various components essential for electrical powertrains. The Contract Manufacturing division undertakes outsourced services, which involve the production of equipment, the manufacturing of components, and assembly tasks for a broad spectrum of industrial clients. Finally, the Service segment ensures comprehensive post-sales support, offering repair, maintenance, and modification or upgrade services for its machinery and assemblies. Beyond these core activities, Manz AG also delivers value-added services such as simulation and factory design, process and prototype development, and specialized customer training programs. The company was originally known as Manz Automation AG before officially adopting its current name, Manz AG, in June 2011.
