Within the Natural Resources segment, Clariant provides bentonite-based specialty products utilized across industries such as oil purification, foundries, animal feed, civil engineering, wastewater treatment, paper, detergents, PVC stabilization, BTX catalysis, and jet fuel purification. It also offers oilfield production chemicals to support enhanced oil recovery (EOR), offshore and deepwater operations, conventional and unconventional oil and gas extraction, heavy oil processing, paraffin control, and well services; this is complemented by Veritrax, an intelligent chemical management system. Further offerings include chemical solutions for the entire mining process, additives for refinery services, and the development of biofuels and derivatives, such as sunliquid, which converts agricultural residue into cellulosic ethanol.
