what happened to the October dividend?

yieldmax website says Group B ETF, which PLTY falls under, has next ex-date on 10/9. If someone else could take a look and make sure I understood that correctly it would make me feel better.

You should buy until 8pm EST (extended session) on the night before the posted "Ex-Date" to earn the dividends on the next "Pay Date" (usually the day after the next date). For example: I bought shares today (Wednesday), tomorrow (Thursday) is the Ex-Date, the payment would come the day after (Friday for Yieldmax/Granite, some like Roundhill pays on Monday). Fidelity and Schwab pay on Friday morning, Robinhood holds your money for the whole Friday and only pays when the market is closed for the weekend... bummer

ah so I may see my divi payment tonight for yesterday’s ex-divi since I got it from Robinhood. Crooks don’t want to give it Friday morning so you can’t use it to trade huh? I got the same for my Maro, I’ve yet to receive divi payment today from yesterday’s ex-div. 😔🥴

I purchased plty on the 14th, the ex date. I did not get a distribution on the 15th, or at least it did not show up in my fidelity account. Any suggestions?

You needed to own it the day before, ex date. So you should get paid next time if you still own it on the next ex date.
