The Cohen & Steers REIT and Preferred Income Fund, Inc., initially launched by Cohen & Steers Inc. on June 27, 2003, is a closed-ended, balanced mutual fund based in the United States. Formerly known as Cohen & Steers REIT & Preferred Balanced Income Fund, it is currently managed by Cohen & Steers Capital Management, Inc. The fund strategically invests across both public equity and fixed income markets within the U.S. Its equity holdings are primarily concentrated in companies within the real estate sector, including Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). For its fixed income allocations, the fund typically acquires debt and preferred securities from businesses spanning diverse industries.
