It has operations in Japan, the rest of Asia, North America, Europe, and internationally. The company was formerly known as Taisei Optical Equipment Manufacturing Inc. and changed its name to Tamron Co.,Ltd. in April 1970. Tamron Co.,Ltd. was incorporated in 1948 and is headquartered in Saitama, Japan.
