The company researches, develops, manufactures, and sells locomotive train power converters, control systems, urban railway train electrical systems, and other train-borne electrical systems; and electric components for the railway industry, urban railway industry, and non-railway purposes. Its products include propulsion system for electric and diesel locomotives, high-speed trains, and mass transit, as well as DTECS systems for vehicle control and train communication networks; and ATP system for train over-speed protection and train operation safety management, CBTC signaling systems, track side interlocking systems, and automatic train supervision systems. The company's products also comprise city rail traction power supply rectifiers, DC switch cabinets, energy absorbing devices, energy feedback systems, and high-voltage static var generators; and maintenance vehicles, such as heavy-duty track vehicles, overhead catenary systems, railway cranes, inspection vehicles, rail flaw detection systems, rail grinding machines, metro engineering vehicles, and customized vehicles. In addition, its products consists of power semiconductors, resistors, solid and laminated busbars, sensors, power capacitors, and heatsinks; platform screen door systems; and toilet systems, such as WC modules, vacuum toilet systems, sewage tanks, water tanks, etc. The company was formerly known as Zhuzhou CSR Times Electric Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Zhuzhou CRRC Times Electric Co., Ltd. in March 2016. The company was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in Zhuzhou, the People's Republic of China. Zhuzhou CRRC Times Electric Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of CRRC Zhuzhou Institute Co., Ltd.
